Social Venture Circuit's community makes a commitment to "responsible and sustainable social enterprise practices for community impact and a better economy".
We support purpose-driven organizations, for-profit and non-profit, who both:
- generate revenue from the sale of products and services, and
- have a core mandate to generate positive impact through their social, cultural or environmental objectives.
Our members make a commitment based on 7 core principles for social enterprise and as a community we work together to achieve them:
Have clear goals to indicate priority of social impact. Build operating and governance structures that support the commitment.
Use market-based mechanisms to generate revenue from the sale of products and/or services and achieve economic sustainability.
Engage with relevant communities and leaders to thoroughly understand pressing issues and create effective change.
Adopt activities and policies to continuously improve and grow the organization’s positive impact and economic sustainability in a responsible manner
Set KPI targets to align with goals and desired positive social impact with a balanced focus on sustainable community impact and better economy.
Maintain a strong measurement plan and report on the progress with KPIs, minimum on an annual basis.
Contribute to the social enterprise community, share best practices and work with other organizations to amplify impact.
