Programs Officer

The Programs Officer will facilitate the success for our membership community and events hosted by Social Venture Circuit, and help the Executive Director to effectively manage all the programming and strategic planning within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow our online membership platform’s learning tools/resources, keeping them organized and user friendly
  • Manage onboarding process for new subscribing members and assist members on an ongoing basis with troubleshooting and special requests
  • Provide logistics support for the smooth execution of all webinars, networking and other events
  • Assist the Executive Director to manage partner and sponsor relationships
  • Create and manage agreements in place with members, sponsors and partners
  • Coordinate organization-wide brainstorming and strategic growth planning sessions; maintain appropriate documentation to support organization’s growth

Qualifications/Experience Needed

  • Undergraduate in business, marketing, entrepreneurship or a related field
  • Previous experience with project management and non-profit or startup sector
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Proven track record for excellence in communications and relationship building
  • Previous experience with Memberpress, WordPress or other membership/course management platforms is a strong asset
  • Previous experience with Slack and Zoom administration is an asset

Marketing Officer

The Marketing Officer will manage the public presence and promotional campaigns for Social Venture Circuit to grow its membership community and share its vision with the social enterprise community and all external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the organization’s digital marketing strategy to promote memberships, special events and conference
  • Grow our online community and analyze community engagement to drive future programming strategy
  • Manage content calendar for all social media profiles and e-mail newsletter
  • Identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities and work with the team to create strong proposals

Qualifications/Experience Needed

  • Undergraduate in business, marketing or a related field
  • Excellent understanding of e-mail marketing, social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and content creation software (e.g. Canva)
  • Proven track record in executing successful community outreach and social media campaigns
  • Detail orientation and design skills for high quality content generation
  • Understanding of and experience in the non-profit or startup sector is a strong asset

Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer will contribute towards creating a value-added and relevant experience for all members of Social Venture Circuit with high quality, accessible content.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review learning content for online resource bank, blog and educational events that is relevant for social enterprise
  • Conduct sector research and stay up to date on current events and developments that are relevant for social enterprise, non-profit and entrepreneurship communities
  • Collect and analyze member feedback from events and other programs to apply in future content development and strategic planning efforts
  • Work with members and partners to manage process of collecting guests posts and venture spotlights’ content

Qualifications/Experience Needed

  • Undergraduate in business, finance or entrepreneurship, preferably some experience with social enterprise, design thinking and/or strategy
  • Excellent written communication skills, business acumen and analytical skills
  • Track record of writing strong educational content
  • Previous experience with membership and website platforms, preferably WordPress/Memberpress is a strong asset
  • Self starter and strong team player who can work with executive director and advisors on strong content creation
